Temper

A student said to Master Bankay,

“I have an uncontrollable temper. How can I get rid of it?”

Bankay replied, “You do have something very strange. Let me see it.”

“Just now I cannot show it to you.”

“Then when can you show me?”

“It just comes up unexpectedly.”

“Well then, it mustn’t be your own nature. If it were, you’d be able to show it anytime. Your parents did not give it to you when you were born. Think about it.”
